Description

Pneumechanical expanding shaft with lugs mod. 638 PMK is recommended for unwinding and winding rolls with cores.

The body of the shaft is available in steel or aluminum, depending on the reel weight. The expansion lugs come in either steel or rubber covered depending upon core material and torque requirements. The journal ends are also available in a variety of steels and are always custom-made. Expansion is accomplished by one (or more) air activated pistons that mechanically engage the expandors self-centering the core. Expansion can be spring-activated so as to grant the core is gripped also in case of air leakage in the machine.
