The new expanding shaft with three ledges entirely made of carbon fiber is a real revolution in the world of expanding systems: its mechanical properties are unique in the sector.
A higher elastic module gives it greater rigidity and consequently, when a high load will be applied it will undergo minimal deformations.
Lightness is another distinctive element: the weight is significantly lower than traditional steel or aluminum expanding shafts: -65% compared to steel shaft, -15% compared to aluminum shafts, -37% carbon fiber shaft with steel inserts.
Critical speeds increase significantly: +80% compared to steel shaft, +19% compared to aluminum shaft, +39% compared to carbon fiber shaft with steel inserts.
The solution developed by Svecom also allows to widely range the geometry of the project and thus meet all costumer needs.
